Clinical interests
Mr Anand is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises exclusively in Knee Surgery. His areas of interest include arthroscopy, ACL, ligament reconstruction, partial knee replacements and joint preserving surgery. Having trained under some of the leading knee surgeons in the world he has acquired considerable knowledge in treating professional athletes and high demand patients. He applies these principles to all the patients he treats. His passion within knee surgery is in sports injuries and patella instability. He receives referrals for complex patella instability problems from many parts of the UK.
Academic background
He trained at University College London Medical School and graduated in 2002. He completed an additional degree in Orthopaedic Science. His specialist orthopaedic training was in Cambridge and London. He has comprehensive specialist fellowship training in all aspects of knee surgery.
He is only one of a few UK surgeons elected onto The European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) committees. In this role he is heavily involved in teaching knee surgery around Europe.
Professional memberships
Mr Anand has completed 4 fellowships in knee surgery. This includes 6 months in Melbourne, Australia with Prof Feller. His other fellowships were in top centres in Italy, Bristol and Bournemouth. In 2013 he was awarded the prestigious European Arthroscopy Travelling Fellowship where he travelled around Europe visiting the top centres and presenting his research.

Mr Anand runs clinics from Croydon University Hospital, Purley Memorial Hospital & SWLEOC. If listed for surgery on the NHS the procedure will take place at SWLEOC, private patients can also choose for their care to be undertaken at SWLEOC.
